McNair Homicide...

Not sure where to even start with this story. It's obviously a tragedy, but certainly a tragedy that could have been avoided. I loved an article I read yesterday from a "friend" of McNair that said he always tried to be the best dad he could be to his 4 sons...in which 2 of the 4 sons were from his current wife. It's a sad thing when the whole world was under the impression that this guy was such a class act because he did some volunteer work throughout his career in the NFL. If this guy has always been a "class act" then I think the bar has been set really low.

Nice quote right here to check out from an article on ESPN tonight. You think this 20 year old server from Dave and Buster's was his first girlfriend???

"He liked her so much because they would go shopping and stuff and she would want to spend her own money," Abdi said. "The reason he said he loves her is because she's not trying to use him like other girls. She was different from other girls he had been with."

Holler back!

PS-I just read something on ESPN about a possible trade for Boozer that would include Big Baby Rip Hamilton. This could be nice, I mean real nice.

  1. I agree, it's very sad and obviously nobody deserves to be killed for that, but at the same time with all of these details coming out it's not surprising. People have said that he was telling her that he was going to divorce his wife and marry her and all that stuff, which clearly he wasn't because there were no divorce papers filed and his wife is shocked by all of this stuff. Plus, she was only 20! What I bet happened was that he told her that he wasn't going to leave his wife and she lost it and killed him.
It's a sad story for sure, and just another example of why athletes (other than Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods) should not be idolized or put on a pedestal because nobody really knows who they are.
The only 2 athletes that I've gotten a glimpse into what kind of people they are have been Shawn "You smoke?" Marion and Bill Laimbeer. Marion clearly has other things in his life more important than being a good basketball player and role model (weed and hookers), and Laimbeer couldn't have been a bigger A-hole to us after a Pistons game, I guess the way he played was really who he was. Go coach some more lesbians, you big douche.
