I heard this morning that he's getting paid between $100M-$144M for next season's American Idol. Not bad money considering the season lasts 5 months. WOW!!!
Thought I'd add a little "pop culture" post today so I can try and forget about how the Pistons are working to be the worst NBA team in the Eastern Conference.

That is absolutely amazing. $35 million a month can pay some bills and buy a few nice things. It would be decent making $1 million PER DAY over that time frame.

It was very obvious back a few months ago when Simon Cowell hinted next year would be his last year on American Idol, he had no intention of leaving the show. He is an absolute genius. Fox could not afford not to pay him because the show would completely collapse if he left. Love him or hate him, he is really the only reason why people watch the show. So instead of leaving, he essentially is doubling his original earnings of $80 million per year.
ReplyDeletePlus, he does Britain's Got Talent, and some other show over there that will eventually be judged by him here too. Bascially, Simon will be billionaire soon.
In related news, I am not even close and will never be close to being a millionaire. That is of course, until the advertising kicks in on this blog...
